The Wattle Company chooses Adempiere

After an exhaustive selection process, The Wattle Company have chosen the open-source ERP and CRM package called Adempiere and service provider nTier Software Services. The selection process was fairly onerous, due to the huge expectations anticipated from the ERP implementation.

The ERP solution will eventually run all facets of The Wattle Company's business processes including their manufacturing divisions. Although, HR and Payroll is not included in Adempiere at the moment, it is anticipated that these modules would be eventually be incorporated in the integrated solution. The Wattle Group IT Manager, Melusi Maposa, stated that "Compiere/Adempiere was outstanding when looking at price, robustness, openness, functionality and speed of innovation." Anesh Meghraj, COO at nTier Software Services, says that "The Wattle project is a big deal for us. It would probably be one of the biggest Adempiere implementations in Africa if not the world, and it helps nTier Software Services to move out of South Africa into other African countries. We are currently in active discussions with a Zimbabwean partner to open an office in Zimbabwe, to provide better support and actively engage that part of our market".
